Alkalinity Booster CTX-21 Alka+

Alkalinity increaser in powder form, CTX-21, is used to increase the alkalinity of water when it is below 125 ppm.

Total alkalinity indicates the amount of alkali components (carbonates, bicarbonates and hydroxides) dissolved in pool water.

Alkalinity plays an important role as a regulating effect of pH changes (buffer effect), so that if the alkalinity is not in the values of 125-150 ppm there will be oscillations with the pH and pH stability cannot be achieved, so that there may be high or low pHs, i.e. problems of turbidity, scaling, or corrosion, eye irritation, greenish coloration of the water respectively.

It avoids that due to an imbalance of the water irritation of the skin and the eyes of the swimmers, corrosion of the metallic parts of the swimming pool and an excessive consumption of disinfectant.

Ideal for: All types of pools.

Dosage and mode of use

Add 1.8 Kg. of product, to increase the total alkalinity of 100 m3 of water by 10 ppm. This dose is for guidance only.

The total alkalinity of the water should be between 125-150 ppm (CO3Ca), and its control will be carried out by means of a test kit once a week.

Pour the necessary dose of product dissolved in water, and distribute this solution over the surface of the pool equally.

Doses of orientative character that can be modified according to the specific characteristics of each pool, climatology, etc.
