Piscimar’s Algi-Yellow for eliminating mustard or yellow algae

An ultra-concentrated algaecide specially formulated to combat mustard or yellow algae, one of the most resistant types of algae that can appear in swimming pools.

This type of algae typically settles on the walls and bottom of the pool and can be highly resistant to conventional treatments with chlorine or algaecides.

Algi-Yellow works by weakening the algae to facilitate their removal through the combined action of the disinfectant. For shock treatment, it can be combined with superchlorination of up to 5 ppm of free chlorine, using an appropriate disinfectant.

In addition to being used as a shock treatment, it can be applied periodically to help prevent the reappearance and growth of mustard algae.

Its liquid formulation facilitates distribution of the product throughout the pool and does not produce foam.

Directions and Dosage

Shake the container before use and distribute the product evenly throughout the pool.

• Shock treatment: Add 1 L per 100 m³ of water, combined with superchlorination of up to 5 ppm of free chlorine.
• Maintenance: Add 1 L per 100 m³ of water once a month.

If the water becomes cloudy immediately after applying the product, add Cleanpool Shock or GoldenFlok to help remove the cloudiness and debris from dead algae. Then continue filtration for 24 hours.

If, after treatment, there are still traces of dead algae deposited on the bottom, remove them with a pool vacuum, setting the filtration system’s selector valve to the drain position.

For best results, always follow the dosages and instructions provided in the product’s technical data sheet.

• Keep out of reach of children and store under lock and key.
• Wear gloves and safety goggles or a protective mask.
• In case of eye contact: rinse thoroughly with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and if this can be done easily, and continue rinsing.
• Call a Poison Control Center if the person feels unwell.
• Dispose of the contents and container in accordance with current regulations.
